The Surface Design Studio
The Studio is part of Digital Ceramic Systems Ltd. who are specialists in bespoke ceramic printing. They specialise in custom made projects small and large with artists, architects and interior designers. As part of their service they can print onto ceramics tiles for both wall and floor projects along with glass and enamelled steel. Their work is particularly suitable for kitchens, swimming pools and spas.
Signs
Julie Lavender and Anna Brwein worked with the Studio and produced artwork for tile signs. One has to appreciate the way colors are reproduced on ceramics. Some colours at different end of the visual spectrum come out cleaner when not used together.
Murals and Splash Backs
Tiles have been used in food halls like the dramatic ones at Harrods for decades. We recommended tiles to Paxton and Whitfield when they commissioned this UK Cheese map by Isobel Bushell. The Surface Design Studio could have reproduced the map on a variety of surfaces. Whether you want a distinctive splash back for your kitchen or a mural for your cafe we can help.

Team work
Classic team work . This distinctive Fish inspired design was created as a quilt held in the Collection of The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles. Here is is reproduced digitally on tiles and mouned in a distinctive coffee table created by Russell Bamber for Clerkenwell Design Week.
